The Electronic Resources section is responsible for the management of the Library’s electronic resources (eResources). Electronic resources management is the practices and techniques used to track the selection, acquisition, licensing, access, maintenance, usage, evaluation, retention, and de-selection of a library's electronic information resources.

The University of the Western Cape (UWC) Library currently purchases eBooks and subscribes to a number of databases contaiing thousands of quality peer reviewed information resources. In addition, to these databases, the library subscribes to numerous individual eJournals.
