The University of the Western Cape (UWC) Library's User and Access Services forms part of the Research Support and User Services unit. The services available to users are the Lending and Short Loans desk, Interlibrary Loans, a Virtual Reference service and a range of designated spaces that users are able to access depending on what type of service they need.

The designated spaces that are available include training labs, discussion rooms, the Knowledge Commons facility for undergraduate and honours students, the Postgraduate Research Commons for masters and doctoral students, a unit for persons with disabilities and a Learning Centre that is available 24/7.
