The Library offers a Digital Literacies programme that aligns with Information Literacy objectives and the UWC Graduate Attributes.

The University of the Western Cape (UWC) Graduate Attributes, including digital and information literacies, are embedded in the curriculum learning outcomes of every course. Lecturers, researchers, students and other support staff are thus invited to join any of the Library’s monthly Digital Apps training sessions where they get a chance to explore new digital applications or tools every month.

Supplementary support services offered to faculty staff on request include:

• Advice on integrating information and digital literacies in lesson plans, rubrics and all learning assessments;

• Advice on appropriate information and digital literacies learning outcomes for courses / modules;

• Partnering with lecturers to co-teach classes on information and digital literacy skills.
