Overview

The Learning and Teaching (L&T) section works collaboratively to meet the diverse information needs of the University of the Western Cape (UWC) community. This is achieved by coordinating a variety of professional services in support of the learning, teaching and research activities in an increasingly digital environment. The L&T team aims to have library resources, services and training embedded into the faculty programmes, which promotes graduate attributes and student success.

The L&T team’s objectives are clustered into three main focus areas:

  1. To aid student learning and enhance student success at UWC;

  2. Foster a strong collaborative partnership with academics and work towards embedding information and digital literacies within curricular outcomes;

  3. Integrate the learning and teaching course resources and support into the Learning Management System (iKamva) for an enhanced student experience.
